Program Description:

What happens when the s$#! hits the fan in your business? A hurricane disrupts half of your retail locations, a general labor strike shuts down your offshore subsidiary for days, or an earthquake and tsunami destroys your principal factory in Asia? As a leader, how will you lead your business and team through this disruption? Were you prepared? In this seminar, using practical examples from a two-decade career in crisis & emergency management, Bryan Strawser applies the principles of project and program management to crisis leadership. Real world disasters discussed will include Hurricane Sandy, the Arab Spring, India’s two years of general labor strikes, and the Sendai, Japan earthquake and tsunami. You’ll walk away with a strong understanding of how to adapt PMI’s project and program management standards to a crisis situation, ideas about managing risk and uncertainly in a fast-changing global environment, and new insights into crisis leadership.
