Volunteer Recognition - Credit & Awards

"Credit" Hours earned by Volunteers

PMI-MN member volunteers receive a two-dollar credit per hour of volunteer effort for the Minnesota Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI-MN®). Volunteer hour credits are based on a calendar year.

Credits earned in one year are not redeemable until the following year.
Credit hours do not become available for use until they are validated by PMI-MN at the end of the calendar year. For example, if you earn 45 credit hours for volunteer work with the Chapter Practitioner Communities team in 2021, you will not be able to "cash them in" for a dinner or PDD class until 2022.

Volunteer hour credits may be applied to any PMI-MN sponsored event through the Chapter's registration vendor including breakfast meetings, dinner meetings, seminars, webinars, and PDD (Professional Development Days) classes or symposium. For more information, review the current volunteer policy.

Where to register your PMI-MN volunteer hours
Enter your the volunteer hours you worked in the volunteer reporting application located in the PMI-MN SharePoint. You will need your PMI-MN Share Point ID and password to log in.

Volunteer of Year / Volunteers of Month Awards

Each year PMI-MN recognizes its dedicated volunteers at an annual extravaganza where Chapter Awards are also given to members for special achievements to the Chapter and our profession.

Members also recognize contributions by volunteers for specific activities each month. The recipients are presented at the monthly Chapter dinner meeting, published in the Chapter newsletter, and posted on our website.
