All current and future PMP® Prep Course (based on the PMBOK® Guide) and registration information can be found on our (PMI-MN®) website.
The PMBOK® Guide is the Project Management Book of Knowledge containing the principles and guidelines for project managers issued by the Project Management Institute. New editions are released to compliment the growing field of project management.
You should study the PMBOK® Guide Sixth Edition for the PMP® exam.
You should plan to take the exam one to two months after the Prep Course ends. You may apply for the exam while attending the course. You should allow one or two weeks to receive approval of your online application. Your approval to take the exam will be valid for one year.
Prometric Testing Centers (APTC) is the primary PMI® testing contractor for the PMP® Exam. In addition, candidates can also register to take the PMP® Certification Examination at an Assessment Systems, Inc. (ASI) site. Check the phonebook or the web for local locations. The PMI® national web site also has information on testing centers at other U.S. locations.
