The PMO Team Lead at BWF plays a key role in overseeing and supervising our Project Management Office (PMO) in our efforts to help nonprofit organizations across the country and world as they strengthen their philanthropy efforts and advance their missions. As a supervisor, you will utilize your project management expertise and leadership skills to guide and mentor your portion of the PMO team, ensuring the successful execution of client projects.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage your own assigned project teams, budgets and work plans and work directly with both the BWF project team and our client partners. In addition to project management responsibilities, you will provide supervision and guidance to your team, including assigning projects and tasks, monitoring progress, ensuring team members understand and are implementing project processes and methodology, and providing constructive feedback on their performance. This position relies heavily on previous management and project management experience, organization, communication, good judgement, and proactive time management. The ability to exercise initiative, independent judgement, and have accountability for various processes and projects is critical.
- 6+ years of project management experience and the ability to manage multiple components of complex projects.
- 2+ years of experience managing a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills; flexibility; attention to detail; and the ability to work both independently and with a team toward a common goal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, and interpersonal skills; initiative and follow-through; sound discretion and judgment.
- Commitment to an inclusive workplace culture.
- Proficiency in project management tools, survey software, database applications and Internet research tools.
- PMP or project management certification preferred.
- Familiarity with the nonprofit sector a plus.
