Program Description: 

The Business Model Canvas is touted by its creators as a tool for “visionaries, game changers, and challengers.”  This session will introduce the 9 Building Blocks that can assist you in developing a charter that ensures your project will add value to the organization.  Use this tool to identify current state and gaps to achieve future state.  The tool was developed to view the organizational level, but can be scaled for a department level or project level view.  This tool is also used by people in the emerging profession of Business Architecture.  The goal of this overview session is create awareness of the tool; expertise and mastery will take more time and practice.

Speaker(s) Bios: 

Mandy Spiess has used her education and experience to move along the career path from Project Manager at Norwest Mortgage to her current role at Be the Match as Director of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office. As a graduate of the US Army Office School and US Army Command General Staff College, she has added a PMP/PgMp, a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Business Architect Certificate to her resume along with the addition of BA in Business Administration and MS in Organizational Leadership and Management. Combined with her experience in the fields of finance, the Army National Guard, management and nonprofit, she brings a wealth of real-world perspectives to her presentations.
